Besides our love of Scotland and the Scotch whisky industry, what also unites us is our love of travel and languages.

While we were both born and raised in Scotland’s capital city of Edinburgh, we both travelled west to experience the vibrant and charismatic city of Glasgow where we pursued our studies at the Universities of Glasgow and Strathclyde respectively.

Our love of languages has unlocked and opened up diverse cultures, friendships and experiences. As native English speakers infused with Scots and some knowledge of Scottish Gaelic, we are in constant pursuit of our interest in languages. We need no encouragement to try to communicate in your language. Colin is a fluent German speaker. Douglas is fluent in Spanish, French, Italian, Catalan and German.
